In Australia, the fastest-growing group facing homelessness isn’t who you might expect. They are sisters, mothers, and grandmothers: women over 55 who, through rising costs, family violence and systemic gaps, find themselves without a safe place to call home.

For the 2026 Winter Appeal, Launch Housing tasked us with bringing this "hidden" crisis into the light. We moved away from traditional tropes to focus on the quiet, resilient reality of women living out of her car.
